Adopt-a-Park

In addition to the structured FOCIP Tuesday Work Parties, the FOCIP Adopt-a-Park program provides a free-form way for volunteers to donate significant value to Camano Island's parks and trails.

Volunteers sign up to monitor and perform light maintenance on a specific trail or section of a park for one year, running from July - June. They walk the trail a couple of times a month. Typical tasks includes pruning back branches, keeping the trail clear, raking leaves and reporting trail conditions. Large tasks should be reported back to FOCIP.

A list of trails/parks/kiosks is located at the bottom of this page.

Volunteers

Thanks for agreeing to Adopt-a-Park! We appreciate your help in keeping our trails and parks in good condition.

Please submit your hours, including the name of your trail, date of your work & travel time, to FOCIPAdoptAPark@googlegroups.com by the end of each month. If possible, include a short description of your work and the trail status.

State Parks have reporting deadlines due to L&I requirements, so we need to have our hours ready for the Rangers before the first Tuesday of the month. We submit County Park volunteer hours on a quarterly basis.

If any major work is needed, a work party is required, or if Park Staff should be informed of conditions, please email FOCIPAdoptAPark@googlegroups.com
