"Better Parks, A Better Place To Live"

A message from our President

UPDATE June 2, 2020

Most Washington State Parks are open for day use as of Tuesday, May 5.  Please see the following link for info:

Many Island County Parks reopened on May 5, some with parking restrictions.  For Island County Park info, see

For those of us who are Adopt A Park volunteers please respect the restrictions of your parks.

Note that Washington State Parks is not allowing anyone to volunteer until at least July (https://parks.state.wa.us/262/Volunteer-Program).  You can continue to monitor your WA State Park trails and safely pick up litter, remove fallen branches, or report problems on the trail without using any tools (including hand tools) or lingering on the trails.

Reporting trail conditions and your hours are still very important to FOCIP but they will not apply toward a Discovery Pass at this time.

Feel free to file a report and your hours when you are walking trails in any of our Island’s parks that remain open even if they are not your designated trails.
